Festival Itinerary
Early morning departure from Kolkata in an AC vehicle towards Lot No. 8 / Kakdwip (approx. 3 hours drive).
Reach Harwood Point (Lot No. 8) and board the vessel/ferry to cross the Muriganga River to reach Kachuberia (Sagar Island).
From Kachuberia, take a local Toto or shared car/bus to reach the main Gangasagar Kapil Muni Temple (approx. 30 km journey).
Take the holy dip at the confluence of the Ganges and the Bay of Bengal (Sagar Sangam) and perform puja at the revered Kapil Muni Temple.
Enjoy a delicious local lunch near the temple area and explore the beach surroundings.
Board the return Toto/car to Kachuberia, catch the evening ferry back to Lot No. 8, and board your AC vehicle for the smooth drive back to Kolkata.
