Detailed Itinerary
Arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and transfer to Shillong (Approx. 100 km). En route, visit the breathtaking Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by scenic hills. Check in to the Shillong hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong, Asiaâs cleanest village, and visit the Single Living Root Bridge. Proceed to Dawki to witness the crystal-clear Umngot River and enjoy an optional boat ride. Return to Shillong in the evening for an overnight stay.
Check out from Shillong and visit the stunning Laitlum Canyon for panoramic valley views. Later, drive to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. Explore the majestic Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, and the fascinating Mawsmai Caves. Check in to your Cherrapunji hotel for an overnight stay.
Begin the day with an adventurous trek to the famous Double-Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat (or explore local scenic viewpoints if opting for a relaxed day). Experience the unique natural beauty of the area. Return to Cherrapunji and visit the local market in the evening. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
After breakfast, check out from Cherrapunji and drive back towards Shillong. En route, explore the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, known for its rich biodiversity and ancient legends. Reach Shillong and spend the evening shopping at the local markets (Note: Markets closed on Sundays). Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Guwahati. En route, visit the revered Kamakhya Temple. Drop off at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey with wonderful memories.
